Education services

One of our main aims has been to introduce children to ancient Egyptian civilization. To achieve this aim, we offer  a complete education program aimed at infant, primary and secondary school students.
In the various workshops of this education program, students receive educational material designed by the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona based on the school setting and the characteristics of each stage of education.

  • At the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona

The Egyptian Museum of Barcelona provides teaching professionals with an important educational tool to enable their students to learn up-close about different aspects of the world of the pharaohs.

Under the name “The Discovery of Ancient Egypt”, the Museum offers an educational program that combines guided tours of the rooms of the Museum with various complementary activities where students can learn, reinforce and explore in depth the contents of the museum in a ludic, educational and highly participatory manner.

  • At the Archaeology Campus

The Archaeology Campus provides a forum where participants of all ages can participate in archaeological practices.

Located in the Palau-solitá i Plegamans district some 20km from Barcelona, the Archaeology Campus provides an education proposal that allows students to develop research skills, discovery and teamwork and promotes a knowledge of ancient Egypt through archaeology.

The Campus contains life-sized replicas of three original archaeological sites that allow participants to perform tasks carried out by archaeologists, giving them the opportunity to become real professionals in this discipline for a few hours.
