FACILITIES: THE MUSEUM

Located in the middle of the city centre, the current site of the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona covers more than 2,000 m2.

  • It has three exhibition areas, one of which is for temporary exhibits

  • Three training rooms fitted with IT equipment

  • The library, with more than 10,000 documents 

In all of these areas, priority has been given to removing physical barriers that impede access to and/or circulation between different areas. 
There is an elevator for accessing the various floors of the Museum, as well as a visitors’ guide and a number of touch-sensitive additions that allow the Museum to offer a valid educational product for the visually impaired.

The Archaeology Campus
