Offering table
New Kingdom (1550–1070 BC)
Limestone
Length: 60 cm
Inv.: MEB E-294
It belonged to a person named Inpu. The offering table was placed in front of the ‘false door’ stela so that the deceased could find the food necessary to survive in the Afterlife. The offerings were usually depicted on the surface. In this case, bread, pomegranates and two hes cups can be seen.
