Unnefer (‘the perfect being’) is an epithet of the god Osiris, used in this case as the proper name of the owner of the sarcophagus. The hieroglyphic texts consist of formulas requesting offerings for the deceased (bread, milk, wine, poultry, fabrics or incense) addressed to the gods Osiris, Sokar-Osiris and Anubis.
