The goddess Neith, originally from the city of Sais, wears the red crown of Lower Egypt as her most characteristic attribute. Considered one of the few female creator entities, she is also the inventor of weaving and, in her funerary role, provides the deceased with bandages and shrouds for their mummy. The Greeks identified her with the goddess Athena.
