Awards and recognitions

The recognition of the work carried out by the Clos Archaeological Foundation has been reflected in various nominations and the receipt of prestigious national and international awards.
 
2013 Jordi Clos was awarded the Gold Medal for Cultural Merit by the City Council of Barcelona.
 
2005 Catalonia Award for Communication and Public Relations (2004).
 
2003 Jordi Clos was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi by the Generalitat of Catalonia, in recognition of his merits in the field of cultural patronage.

2002 XVII Juan Lladó Prize for Patronage awarded by the Ortega y Gasset Foundation and the Instituto de Empresa.

2002 Nomination for the European Museum of the Year Awards.

2002 WINTERTHUR AEDME Patronage Award.
 
2001 The Key to Barcelona.
 
2000 Medal for Tourist Merit as President of the Clos Archaeological Foundation.

2000 Golden Merit Medal of Minia Governorate of Egypt for his cooperation in archaeological research in that Egyptian region.
 
1997 Ali Bei Prize, as an outstanding figure in Tourism, awarded by the Catalan Association of Journalists and Writers.

1997 Winterthur Economics Patronage Award.
 
1996 Silver Medal for Tourist Merit, presented by the Honourable Javier Gómez Navarro, Minister of Tourism and Trade.

1996 Rolex Awards Honorary Prize as a Patron of Culture.

1996 Montblanc de la Culture Prize presented by Lord Douro, President of the Montblanc de la Culture Foundation.

    The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees.


    The Foundation's interdisciplinary team manages various spaces such as the Barcelona Egyptian Museum, the Archaeological Campus in Palau-solità i Plegamans, and Cultural Expeditions to Egypt.
